Browse Forums Increasing Home Value 1 Nov 05, 2009 2:06 am Hi Guys, I'm planning a renovation on an apartment I just pruchased in Darlinghurst in Sydney. I'm only at the veyr early planning / feasibility stage at this point. It's my my first renovation, but I'm getting a bit frustrated with the fact that I don't know what the council's invisible rules are and there doesn't seem to be any good resources of what you generally can and can't do anywhere. Can anyone point me to a good place to find comprehensive info on DA approval issues and case studies? DA seems to be one of the biggest issues with building/renovating, so I find it strange that good info is hard to come by. I guess that maybe that's party due to the fact that it's a council things and all councils are different, but there must be some general resource out there. I'd even be happy to read through local applications to find out what they went for and what got accepted and rejected. I haven't been able to find any good information anywhere though. Any help woul dbe greatly appreciated. Thanks!!
