Browse Forums Owner Builder Forum 1 Jan 30, 2018 10:27 am Hi all, I'm starting to realise that getting owner builder insurance for a house raising project is nigh on impossible. Ticking the "Are you raising, lowering, relocating, or moving the entirety of an Existing Structure" box seems to put my application in bad light. We are using a house raising company to raise the existing house about 1200mm and then it will be secured onto it's new permanent stumps. Once this is done and services reconnected we'll be moving back in and I'll be building in underneath. My question is twofold. Does anyone know an insurer who will cover me that includes the house raise or; Should I wait until the house has been raised and then commence the owner builder project and apply for insurance then?
