Browse Forums Owner Builder Forum 1 Oct 23, 2017 4:54 pm Hi all Is there a template/framework/document package available that an owner builder (such as myself) can use to provide to potential builders and trades for pricing? I want to avoid the situation where each builder submits their own interpretation of the drawings and required finishes. I am aware that there are specialist companies that can handle this (for a fee) but I'm interested in trying to complete this myself. We have all the necessary drawings and have a fairly comprehensive list of external construction materials/finishes ready to go. I just need the framework or template to insert the materials and finishes I want. Any suggestions would be appreciated Re: Template for tender document to builders for getting quo 2Oct 23, 2017 10:07 pm @Mcnuggert15 welcome to the forum If you have drawings ,engineering and species done in a 3D BIM software package like revit, sketchup, vectorworks, etc then short answer is yes, the data can be extracted, automated, etc... also see Recommended Building CO Designer,Engineer (Civil,Const & Envir),Builder,Concrete & Masonry Contract.Struct Repairs Re: Template for tender document to builders for getting quo 3Oct 24, 2017 2:01 pm Thanks StructuralBIMGuy Unfortunately I haven't had my drawings done in a 3D BIM software. They are a simple 2D CAD based drawings. I guess I am interested in a free or purchased template/document that we would populate with the details of our finishes and requirements and it would produce a simple document that covered most/all questions the builder would have. Any ideas? I would presume that I'm not the first person interested in such a product.
