People said local council is more responsible than private building surveyor, and more cost reduction, is that true?
I am concerned that there are several points which need building surveyor to inspect. Could it be faster if I employ a private surveyor? how much would it cost for inspection stages?

If you already have a contract, is the inspection cost stated in there? If not they would be forced to issue you a variation which you could of course object to.
