Ok, I can finally reveal the kitchen/living area. Everything complete including the flowers Photo overload time.
Open plan living with massive island looking over the sunken lounge. Polished concrete came up pretty well except for some rough patches which we expected while trying to achieve a burnished look.
The railway sleeper lamp in the corner was from our last house which fit perfectly with all the other timber:
We eat on the end of the island bench.
LED strip lighting under the overhead cabinets:
76cm wide Gaggenau Steam Combi + Conventional Oven + Warming Drawer
All Siemens cooktops. 2 burner gas on the left followed by Induction Hob, then Teppenyaki and finally Wok Gas Burner. We thought it would be good to have a range of options with cooking. Sirius brand undermount rangehood with external motor.
Butler's cafe style pantry with matt white subway tiles, my beautiful ECM coffee machine and Mazzer grinder, filtered water + Blanco boiling hot water mixer. LED strip lighting continued here. Pantry has sensor light so no more forgetting to switch off the pantry light!
Open pantry shelving with lazy susan in 2 corners of the pantry to maximise usage.
The gorgeous KWC Zoe mixer tap with pull out and LED lighting.
Cafe style dining room. Table and chairs were from our old house which again fitted in perfectly.
If you were to ask me what do you love most about the house, it would have to be the 'centrepiece' timber pillar. After spending 6 months trying to source it, then another 15 hours brushing and sanding, then putting it into place with 6 of us and finishing it off with a modern Zen switch, I don't think it could have turned out any better.
