I must admit, I let out a little squeal of delight when our lighting was done and I turned it on for the first time Re: OB in SA - Kitchen and laundry cabinetry in! 704May 05, 2017 8:10 pm Bigblock7, pretty happy with it. I want to put a hammock in our verandah haha. Regvic, our sparky got them for us. I think it ended up cheaper cos it's thru an account or something like that. Marshall5858, it's the little things, isn't it? Also, I think in our case, we were going into the house a lot of nights with only our headlamps and/or a little floodlight. Couldn't see where you are going! Now it's so bright! The one supposedly for the 3-way bathroom is only good to be used for the ensuite. We have to return the one supposedly for the ensuite to get the right one for the 3-way bathroom. I don't think the one that assisted us in this particular Beaumont branch is very knowledgeable at all. Stuffed us up a couple of times with our bathroom tiles and now with the Hotwire heating. Anyway, this is how you calculate the cable length. Make sure the person that assists you know what they're supposed to give you if you will get one to avoid the hassle or do the calculations yourself prior. We now have to have the Hotwire returned to Beaumont so they can return it to the supplier and then we await for the new one to come. An inconvenience especially when you live in the country. We were given the cable length of 53 (600 watts system) for our ensuite and cable length of 72 (800 watts system) for our 3-way bathroom. The latter is okay for the ensuite. To think that Hombre gave them the square metres of both rooms. Smh. Hombre has worked out that we need a cable length of 118(1250 watts system) for our 3-way bathroom. We were charged a handling fee of $50 to return the wrong Hotwire heating to the heating company when it is them who stuffed it up. $&?@ck!!!!!! Will never again do business with Beaumont Grote St. branch after we get our replacement undertile heating. They ripped me off with $50, my partner is a tiler and gets asked all the time where to go get tiles. There's some lovely people in Gepps Cross. I am just ** off! Grrrrr! They can have my $50 but not going back there ever again. I wanted to return the thing initially cos I was sick of dealing with them. But was told that if i did that, they will charge me 25% of the cost of the heating as handling fee or whatever it is which is $500 so that would have cost me $125! And I need to pay that straight away but my refund will only come after the heating company confirmed that they have received the item. Or another option is we can send it ourselves to Hotwire. Fark!!! We didn't buy it from Hotwire directly we bought it from Beaumont. So why would we worry about all that? I had to do a replacement and pay the difference between 600 and 1250 watts system plus the $50 on top for handling fee. I am very tempted to call Leon Byner. It's not the bloody $50 but it's the principle. OB in SA - Kitchen and laundry cabinetry in! 710May 08, 2017 10:53 pm Marshall5858 Totally agree, it's not your mistake, you shouldn't have to pay anything!! Just really ** off. You went there to ask about Hotwire heating. They never asked us anything except the room sizes. We might as well have done our homework on what systems to get and ordered online. So if we made a mistake, it's on us. I don't think some of the people there know what they are doing. We got this "scale" tiles and Hombre was asking about the cuts. He wanted to buy the cuts for the top, bottom and sides. It took him forever cos no one knew what he's talking about! This is our "scale" tiles. Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ This is the cuts that Hombre wanted. They didn't know you could get cuts. Smh Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Also didn't know how to read our plans right. Kept stuffing our order. But even after Hombre gave the measurements, still couldn't get it right. I was not surprised they stuffed up our Hotwire heating. Just ** off that they ripped me off. The charge ended up being $25. I am not less ** off. As I said, it's the principle. The undertile heating is a bit fiddly to put down as the tape doesn't stick very well on our waterproofed floor. Hombre definitely said he won't do it again. I couldn't let it go for our build though. Hopefully he can finish on the weekend. I saw your kitchen and gigantic pool! Looking great! Can't wait to see both but I am hanging for your kitchen. I loved this tile when I saw it in the shop. Beautiful! Kalkaria grey. We grew to like our concrete floor and we think this looks like it. Provides a bit of contrast and makes the kitchen pop instead of blending into it.
