Browse Forums Owner Builder Forum 1 Jul 21, 2015 4:15 pm Hi, got a question to seeks advise. We are at a point to connect to sewage and storm water points. Found the sewage point but unable to find the storm water point. From the council storm water drawing the closest storm water discharge point is 2 property away. The question I have is, there was an old house before we knock it down to build a new house. The gutter pipe was going into the ground. During demolition, found some terracotta pipes from the gutter pipes. If there is no legal storm water discharge point in the property, where would the storm water get discharged. The old house was built in the early seventies. Thanks. Re: Storm water discharge point 2Jul 21, 2015 5:05 pm It's not unusual for older properties not to have a surface water discharge point. Re: Storm water discharge point 3Jul 21, 2015 5:20 pm Hi Bashworth, thank you for the information. Contacted the council and looks like I need to have to connect to a legal point 2 properties away. They do not allow discharge to the kerb. Looks like I will be a few thousands out of pocket. Building Standards; Getting It Right! Hi All, We have a fall from road to garage front.
