Browse Forums Owner Builder Forum 1 Jun 09, 2015 11:25 pm Hi all, Can I ask if an OB is eligible to handle the subdivision & planning permit project? (I would like to subdivide and build 3 small townhouse on my land, but not sure if an OB's eligible to build more than 1 properties on a single site? would this be a breach of building 1 home in 3 years period?) thanks, Re: eligibility to work on sub/planning permit project? 2Jun 10, 2015 7:38 am Yes ( or at least in NSW it is ). Two or more separate dwellings even on the same property are regarded as individual houses so you can only build one of them. You can subdivide the land as the owner no problem. I'm wondering if anyone knows what the requirements are of a builder to be eligible to hold Domestic Building Insurance for proposed works. https://www.dbi.vmia.vic.gov.au… 0 3334 Building Standards; Getting It Right! 1. optional, you can but normally just use the earth from the main switch board 2. should be enough but the distance determines voltage drop - sparky should work it… 1 28814 Give Jonathan a call.
