Shall we have a race to the finish line? Using my LG-G4 to bring you this update. I have a finish line date so unless your moving in before the 26th, which you might be, I win Re: Our OB project..Photo Update! 885May 18, 2016 11:02 am gandn twin_dad No I'm not moving until the 8th. (handover on the 3rd). Using my LG-G4 to bring you this update. Very close! Congrats! Have you got post handover jobs lined up? We did and then I was made redundant, so now we are just hoping to be able to finish the build. 😞 Using my LG-G4 to bring you this update. On the positive it could give you plenty of time to DIY post handover jobs? Re: Our OB project..Photo Update! 891Jun 01, 2016 11:10 am Building4my3tots TomCat Is she moving in already??? Wow! LOL...Am i moved in already??? After the slowest build in history....yes we are all moved in! Moved in last Friday so 5 nights already. Very surreal. Feel like i'm staying at a fancy hotel, but want to go home I know i should be happy but this place doesn't feel like home yet. Hopefully that feeling won't last long. Moving in went great. We had fantastic movers, can't recommend them enough! Unpacking also going great. Just bathrooms and a bit of the kids rooms to go. Although we do have a pigsty in the garage of things i need to sell and things we dont know where to put yet. Thank goodness for the triple garage is all i can say! Will do a proper post of things shortly. Too much has happened...good and bad since my last one. Apologies to those builds im following as havent had a chance to catch up. I will get there. Re: Our OB project..All moved in! 892Jun 01, 2016 11:36 am Congratulations on moving in!!! holy moly i have missed a lot of your final stages like the concreting and cabinetry. I understand how you feel about the place not feeling quite like home yet. It will take time but im sure you will get there eventually. We are still not there yet haha Re: Our OB project..All moved in! 893Jun 01, 2016 1:07 pm Great to hear from you Gandn!! Have been checking in regularly for updates!! Very pleased to hear your settling in using Tapatalk Edge39.my-letter-box.com Re: Our OB project..All moved in! 898Jun 05, 2016 10:36 pm Thanks all. Please excuse my lack of updates. We have no phone or internet due to a lack of available ports in the area. Waiting on the NBN which should be finished by October. Until then i can only hotspot my phone with limited data Kids not overly enjoying no internet Or no tv OH still working on the aerial. Originally was in the roof space but wasn't working too well so outside it will go! (If this rain ever lets up!) Soooooo. We are all moved in as of 11 days ago now. Time flies when you're having fun! The move itself went very well with no hiccups at all and no damage. Pretty well unpacked bar a few boxes now. Lots of rooms with no furniture in them or temporary furniture so bear with when i post the photos. So the good news! Full occupation certificate came through the day before we moved in, was definitely a relief to receive it. We also got everything finished that needed to be finished to move in! The bad! Lots of small issues, mostly teething problems. Drains overflowing in showers as was collecting hair easily (simple fix), downlights flashing that are on dimmers (still ongoing), and parts missing from the ducted vacuum (fixed). Other ones not so easy. Lots of issues with my kitchen splashback and even more with the mirrors. Splashback issues all fixed but still waiting for the company to remove and replace another mirror from my girls bathroom. Out of 4 mirrors we had 1 crooked and 1 with s scratch Going to be interesting to get this one off after 2 weeks! And finally what i love! Without a doubt i have some obvious ones. Gas fireplace is both practical and gorgeous to look at. Worth every cent and stress i went through. Kitchen. Practical, beautiful, modern, spacious. Laundry. Clean, streamlined, spacious. and my flooring. Carpet is so soft underfoot and no words needed for the floorboards. Lots more still to do!
