Must be buzzing busy this week! Re: Our OB project..Stairs, tiling and paint 675Mar 13, 2016 9:32 pm Abztronic That is awesome gandn! Looking forward to seeing pics. I'm sure it will look amazing! Are the floorboards all through the house? Hi Abz. Sorry about late reply, super duper busy. Floorboards are for the entire ground floor except the wet areas. They look AMAZING!! Will pop photos on when i get a chance. Building4my3tots gandn Good start to the building week. My husband and father in law installed all our air conditioning vents on Saturday. Another job ticked off that we saved money on by doing ourselves. Just the actual units to buy now when we move in. Today also seen the start of my floorboard install. 19mm ply is going down first screwed to the concrete followed by the 19mm boards. Will probably take them all week as there is only 1 guy at the moment. Fingers crossed they do a good job as its a main part of the house! Hopefully some photos to share on the weekend! Tiling, painting, and carpentry fit out continuing. Interest I getting close up shoots of how the install the solid timber floors over your slab. I'm getting the timber floors over the Hebel, and I think we we can either go timber Battens under the floor boards or ply. Are you required have both or just ply? viewtopic.php?f=31&t=75739&p=1299716#p1299716 We just have the ply under the boards,no battens. The ply was bolted through the concrete. ThebigHouse has battens, check their thread. Re: Our OB project..Floorboards 678Mar 13, 2016 9:54 pm Another busy week! Floorboards coming along nicely. They look AMAZING!!! Only one guy doing them and he is working soooo hard! Should be all installed by Tuesday apparently. Kitchen/ pantry area will then get a light sand ready for the start of my kitchen install.....next week Here is a sneak peak of the boards Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Other things over the last week: tiling commenced on front porch area, doors and jambs installed upstairs and more painting. This week i have the staircase getting finished, upstairs wet areas will commence, floorboards to be finished and kitchen to be started! Yep...a little busy! Just adding a few extra photos for those checking out natural white paint in half strength. In these photos the ceilings have 3 coats, upstairs walls 2 coats, downstairs walls 1 coat, doors and stairs undercoat only. Not sure how many coats on the architraves and skirting. Show us some where the ply meets the floor board. I'm yet to see these floor board people hopefully next week. Why didn't you go to batten?
