What are the root systems like on those pears? I'm wondering if thy would be any good around my boundary fence or whether they would mess with the grass and colourbond. You've sold me on spray painting our fence dark!! I'm wondering if thy would be any good around my boundary fence or whether they would mess with the grass and colourbond. You've sold me on spray painting our fence dark!! They are as non invasive as it gets. That's why they are perfect as boundary plants. I'll be getting a really big snow pear in tomorrow. I'll put up some pics. Would you believe our fence colour is black. Initially I painted it Dulux domino which is almost black but then repainted it black. Black or dark colours create great contrast with greens. Can't wait to get some greens!! Re: OB Project - "New vs Old" - Nedlands, WA 544Aug 02, 2017 7:55 pm Today was all about decking. As some of you may notice I gave up with the herringbone idea as it would just take too long. I'm really happy with it though. The teak will grey soon. I will plant dianella sp below the decking to create contrast. They will be lit up with led strips. This should create a floating effect. I'll plant my snow pear in it tomorrow. If I can get it to the rear. Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Re: OB Project - "New vs Old" - Nedlands, WA 545Aug 02, 2017 8:07 pm Beautiful! Going to make a trip to a wholesale nursery in the next few days. Re: OB Project - "New vs Old" - Nedlands, WA 552Aug 07, 2017 8:06 pm Ready for grass. Ordered 180m2 of sir Walter. It will arrive at 7am tomorrow. Very excited to finally have some lawn. There is one issue though..... rain. 35mm of it!! Re: OB Project - "New vs Old" - Nedlands, WA 553Aug 08, 2017 6:39 pm Grass complete 180m2 was a decent effort with the aid of a couple of Laborers. I haven't tested my reticulation yet but as it's raining for the next couple of days I've got a bit of time. I'm really happy with the outcome and can finally see the checkered flag. Front verge.
