Cabinet installation started today. Installer is a perfectionist with a very comprehensive range of Festool tools. It's great to see timber work done with no dust.
So what are my current thoughts on European cabinets?
Systems are completely different, sinks don't fit, fixture systems are "odd" and not adaptable at all. I'm currently very nervousness.
....... And there are plenty of people ready to say I told you so.
Let's hope by Monday we can resolve some of the early problems.
Oh ....... Appliances arrived today

Time for an update:
Well the last week has been full of ups and downs. Our pre ordered cabinets are creating headaches and it looks like I'll need to wait up to 3 months for some small filler pieces to complete it all as intended.
Our single automated garage door was installed today. I'm really happy with it. It's made of western cedar stained black with porters palm beach black.
More importantly I can now start storing things in the garage.
Also my storeroom and workshop doors were completed. Shadowclad will be stained black also.

Love your garage door!
Yes we felt the same too when we got our garage door and dead lock places on it. So good for storage.

This picture shows the openings for our oven and combi oven plus integrated fridge and freezer. Also you'll see the walk in pantry under the stairs. It's great to start seeing lots of the black antique oak veneer.
Note I still need to paint the I-beam and ballustrade above the kitchen in charcoal. - not sure when I can as I've used up all my leave.
On opposite side to the entry stairs will be the coffee area. - my zone
It's all slowly coming together.
