I was meant to install insulation but spent most of the day running between trades and answering questions. External wall batts in yellow R4.4 and acoustic batts in grey R3.1. Plaster makes a quick difference, defines space pretty instantly. = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = Custom owner build in Hume - VIC - Tiling Stage http://goo.gl/qpPglB Re: OB Project - "New vs Old" - Nedlands, WA 184Apr 03, 2016 4:17 pm More painting painting painting..... I have started painting our steel windows. I will paint only the sections hidden currently. I will then paint exposed surfaces after installation. For those of you that are ever considering the use of mild steel for its aesthetic properties be prepared to put in lots of hours of rust protection. I am using 2-3 coats of a two pack dulux product plus 2-3 coats of micaceous iron oxide in charcoal. The two pack undercoat (dulux durabild ste) only gives you 45 minutes before it hardens so you go through lots and lots of disposable brushes and cups. - not fun.
