Our island bench top installation went very smoothly with 10 men helping out. I'm thrilled with the result and I'm definitely changing my mind about European kitchens.

My "odd" square window no longer looks odd. I'm so happy with it. The oak rough sawn oak veneer is my favorite. I like it. It's stained oak with an antique finish Nice, how thick is the oak? Just an vaneer with MDF behind it? Also who supplied the timber? Yes just mdf type substrate with veneer on both sides. Is 22mm. Made by Leicht. Re: OB Project - "New vs Old" - Nedlands, WA 356Sep 09, 2016 6:28 am Has come up a treat! And that cabinetry in your bedroom is out of this world! The was European joinery a money saver deal or more for the quality that you're after so paid more? viewtopic.php?f=31&t=75739&p=1299716#p1299716 At the time I was finding it hard to find a cabinet maker that understood certain requirements that I had. Also I couldn't find a local supplier of a single piece of bench top of 5.5m (other than acrylic) We met with 4 European kitchen importers and decided with the one that could supply our benchtop. What I found with all European kitchen suppliers is that they all understand design and aesthetics really well. What they all lack though is building experience and at times I've been left to solve their problems. Price wise I think they are equivalent to locally sourced cabinets but I like their choice of finishes much more. Downside is the 3-4 months wait and the risk if the cabinets don't fit. 6 26941 I would still ask the question, see if you can get your builder to do it 3 12480 ![]() Thank you so much everyone. This all makes a lot of sense. I guess when you talk to a builder who butters up everything to look very polished, you get to start believing… 7 74015 |
