Browse Forums Owner Builder Forum 1 Oct 21, 2014 2:54 pm So when creative genes were handed out, sadly i missed out. Must be the reason i work in IT So, we are owner building for the first time and really really need some help with render. We are using Boral Brahman Granite for the majority of the house and as such plan to keep the brick exposed around the garage and probably the front fence to keep it all tied in. We like the dark brick/dark roof look so were planning to use Monument and have black windows. Any thoughts/suggestions on main/feature render colours, garage door and even as important where to do what colour? Pic of facade (the bottom window isnt that fancy and upstiars we have changed the french to stacker doors) http://imageshack.com/a/img537/8381/R8dR2f.jpg http://imageshack.com/a/img911/8656/HmuZ9h.png Would love your help - gawd knows i need it Re: Render help to go with Boral Brahman Granite Brick 2Oct 23, 2014 7:43 pm A shudder just went down my spine. Black window frames !!! Personally not a fan. Best piece of advice I would give is grab the list of homes from austral of people that have built with Brahman granite and drive round and look at the houses to see what color schemes go. Best thing you can do, and you will see what works and what doesn't Edit: actually just saw a pic on the bowral website, black window frames and surfmist render work well. But I think it also needs the warmth of wood to set it all off 0 9808 Hi Alex, Thanks for the reply again. I had a chat with the builder, he said he will use primer, then hydrotec which comes with colour and sealer as well. A Renderer I… 12 18071 I am looking for someone who might have tackled a similar issue as me. I have a few rendered interior walls, the surface condition is hardly flat. I can see all the bumps… 0 7964 |
