Browse Forums Owner Builder Forum Re: Electronic Spreadsheets 2Oct 19, 2014 6:27 pm Consider on-line banking. On my first build I opened a bank account dedicated to my build (with which bank?) including a cheque account facility. This way I knew exactly what my total build cost was. This does not however predict cost over-runs until after the event. On my current build I am in denial and I don't want to know how much I have spent! That thread is now a few years old so some of the links may not work. Forum member greenify also has one on his website but every time I click on the link to his website an error message comes up saying "Server down, bandwidth exceeded ". I used excel and have been able to sync in quickly with builder costs and then add in for all the extras I will be doing. I did build a budgeting spreadsheet for a forum member some time back but I find it a thankless task as I have never received any feedback. Reluctant to dump time in to these activities as there is no paying it forward more often than not. Re: Electronic Spreadsheets 6Oct 21, 2014 7:05 am Post it up here on the forums AM or at least a link to it. I'm sure others would find it helpful it even if the original person didn't appreciate your hard work. I also had one emailed to me from forum member Rerob a while back that had all her costings from when she built a house three years ago. Do you think I can find it now ? I should add that apart from that list I link to I have a few others like bathroom and framing spreadsheets that I have downloaded. I don't have links to them but if anyone wants them shoot me a PM with your email and I can send them as an attachment. Stewie |
