Browse Forums Owner Builder Forum Re: Studio (fancy shed) build 181Nov 26, 2014 8:01 pm We had planned to do some more work on our build today however a huge thunderstorm passed through about lunch time. The lightning started a bush fire so we ended up spending all afternoon fighting fires. Fortunately rains followed but not before the fire travelled about 5km. It got within about 100m of our boundary. The only property damage was pasture and fences. Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ An early reminder that the fire season is here. Re: Studio (fancy shed) build 182Nov 26, 2014 9:19 pm Gosh. I was listening to the radio in the car about the bushfire in gingin, while it was pouring and thundering around me. A bit surreal. So although controlled burns do help, they do not prevent this from happening. It had been half buried in the garden growing flowers for the past 20 years but there's still life in it yet. I want to get some to go in the kitchen and laundry of my house. I've seen one of those installed as a kitchen sink, and with the right cabinetry looks awesome. They are also fabulously deep. Re: Studio (fancy shed) build 194Dec 16, 2014 8:32 am One good thing about summer is the extra daylight hours available to build in. We have now made our big sliding barn door for the side entrance. It divides the inside and the outside work areas. It weighs a flamin' ton but we got it up and it works a treat.
