The front deck is a single level with 3 wrap around stairs, finishing flush with the building. We thought about split level but struggled with getting the right flow because of the house position, backyard etc. The back deck is also single level, with the wrap around stairs. However the stairs protrude and then wrap around the house. It will hopefully help the flow to different parts of the yard. Supports for the stairs to go yet carpenter will be back later in the week. We put the landing back so we can still get out safely. So glad we got the fire going, temp dropped today and the whole house stayed toasty Build thread http://tinyurl.com/llgc7yk Re: Acerage 1st Build Southern Highlands *moved in* 444May 30, 2017 11:17 am I never noticed the height of your house until WG pointed it out. I love the idea of the wrap around stairs. It should give a lovely visual detail to the decking too viewtopic.php?t=62083 Re: Acerage 1st Build Southern Highlands *moved in* 445Jun 01, 2017 11:14 pm There's plenty of crawl space underneath Deck is coming along. Chippy will finish the front deck then the back, then pop the pergola structures. It's been a great learning experience for myself and hubby.
