Hi guys, I am having a shampoo niche upstairs, it will be on the external wall. the outside cladding is 100mm foam with render.
so I am wondering what should i put behind the shampoo niche opening.
should i put some ply bracing on the back? and then maybe get the plasterer to put another piece of plasterer at the front of the shampoo niche? and maybe tile on top of that plaster??
but the thing is I don't know how the plaster is going to get nailed property. the ply is so thin it cannot support any nails.
the ply can be easily nailed onto the nearby studs for the backing. but i don't know whether it can support anything that goes in front of it.
please help
