Browse Forums Owner Builder Forum Re: Trespass 22Jul 26, 2012 6:43 am Hi candycane, With due respect, your post was misleading. You described your site visitor as trespasser where in fact he was break and entry intruder. You described it as" a guy wandered in" where in fact there was break and entry, so the in the way you described it it was misleading, a fair assumption was that there was no fence. I think that the fact that you do have fence is good, just the way it should be. Time to move on, please Where you are coming from is where you are going to... Re: Trespass 24Jul 26, 2012 8:50 am Onc - I would understand it more if he was looking for gold! The fact he says he has a map of special old toilets makes it seem even crazier and more like he might be a loony who won't let a go. He told my husband that if he didn't let him dig, the toilet would be lost to society forever. He is clearly passionate about his cause. Re: Trespass 25Jul 26, 2012 8:54 am onc_artisan Evening guys just thought I might pop in and say G'day...and ur umm... be cool guys please! I have no need to point the finger, we need to read a post and take what we want ...not what we don't want ie unwanted banter, slagging etc Some points could be taken out of context with 'TEXT' being a lifeless, emotionless communication tool ... and some times makes us look like a 'tool'. All I can say is preview your post, to see if you can resist 'throwing petrol on the fire'...then reply button is hit Be fair goes both ways,... Otherwise a big stick will be produced Just a point. Its the same person over and over again. Re: Trespass 26Jul 26, 2012 9:24 am we all live in glass houses and are not very good at target shooting. Casting my eyes over your siggy... the tradies that built your house have no defense.. nor does one that leaves a site after any number of possible difficulties out of their control... ...and I can assure you, mostly the level of energy to correct many of those difficulties goes unrewarded/unpaid. it is easy to get sick of the same stuff happening, it is difficult to take it on the chin time after time... but very rewarding when you produce your best (should be every job) and also receive a torrent of thanks! :stepsdownfromsoapbox: Where you are coming from is where you are going to... So you deflect the actual problem by turning it on my signature. How many times does BE have to attack posters before something is done. Or is simply a case of untouchable due to him paying for the privledge. I really toned down my contribution to homeone, sadly not even remotely interested in participating, if I continue to read threads where BE has pi$$ed off half the people posting. EVERYTIME. Re: Trespass 28Jul 26, 2012 3:47 pm Agreed Humble that it puts people off posting when they are likely to be belittled rather than supported. The purpose of an owner builder forum is for owner builders to support each other, not for self labelled 'experts' to stroke their own ego by telling owner builders how crap they are and how much better the expert is at doing everything. Re: Trespass 29Jul 26, 2012 3:57 pm Rightio people-Onc has already suggested that we move on. Let's do that shall we? Candykane-IMO I would be getting whatever order is required to ban this individual from your property. He has no right being there ( regardless of fencing or not ) and the last thing you need is for some loony to hurt themselves and sue you! BTW-have you got reno plans to start a thread here? Or have you already done it? *off to have a look....
