Re: Cost of new home plumbing? 4Apr 19, 2012 11:30 pm Drainage and connection of water (Tap installed at meter site) - pre slab $2600 (you can see my thread for pictures to give you and idea of size and location of plumbing) Internal plumbing and gas $5000 (didn't use copper, used the newer style yellow/purple pvc piping) Sewer and stormwater piping (200 )meters $4000 - used 100mm pipes, not 90mm (I have found that tradies add up in thousands most times) - we paid the excavator seperately $1100 Actual connection of downpipes to stormwater $500 Still waiting for internal fitout after plastering (fitting taps, toilets, showers etc..) Bear in mind we are owner building - most times we pay more for that privilidge, and the plumber is a childhood friend of my husbands' so we didn't shop around for quotes on plumbing - not sure if we got a cheap/reasonable/expensive job....and it's probably better that I don't know (Colorbond downpipes made up at $30 each) *Our house is set back 15mtrs from the boundary and is 27mtrs deep - and main bathroom is at the very back of the house *We also have recycled water that is run seperately to toilets and outside taps *We paid in cash Hope this helps Owner Building on 1800sqm Sanity Intact so far Locked up March 2012 We already paid for somfy motors for the blinds.
