Thanks Treeseachanger You certainly can blend the bamboo colours. Had seen quite a few pics of blends people had done online and thought they looked great, so when we got hold of some test sample boards a few months back (to test how bamboo would stand up to our dog claws, etc) we actually did the test area in a blend and loved the look. This pic is of our sample test area currently on the floor of our temporary rental ....it consists of natural and carbonised colours. I love the variation. Can't wait to see it over a large area. NICE!!! We looked at the smartstrand silk (same colour as yours) and I have to say it was amazingly soft and beautiful but in the end it just wasn't the colour we wanted (we wanted to go darker) so went for one of the other smartstrand carpets. It is still soft but I know you will be loving that carpet for many years to come!! Good choice Re: Owner build-Kareen Hills Estate..shopping 71Jul 20, 2012 12:27 am I'm thinking that the darker lines in the antique together with the others you've chosen will add depth to the look of the flooring. I will look forward to seeing it!! I can't believe how fast this has gone although it must seem slow for you. Thanks drpopper, Starting to feel like we are heading toward the home stretch now, feels like we've kicked up a gear now, seeing alot more changes happening day by day. The slower time consuming jobs are over now. It has seemed slow to us at times, probably because we are always there. Friends that pop in and visit always say it's going quick. It's getting fun now we are finally opening and installing all the bits n pieces we've shopped and stored in the shed for ages Settlement 1/2/12 New Shed 23/3/12 Slab poured 27/3/12 Frame complete 4/5/12 Roof complete 1/6/12 LOCKUP 29/6/12 Our new build blog http://kareenhillsownerbuild.blogspot.com/ Owner buil-Kareen Hills Estate.. showers, drive and a mod 80Aug 01, 2012 8:37 pm Another busy day at our build.
