I have seen this done on many occasions. I think you would have to be unlucky for the certifier to actually ask for it. Just place some form or invoice regarding the windows in with the rest of the documents regarding the house for occupancy certificate. Not sure I would be keen on importing glass, for many reasons particularly double glaze units. We would love to have upvc double glazing but I'm told its very expensive over here. Has anybody imported their windows from the uk or europe, and if so did it work out cheaper? Also, do the windows from the uk/europe need anything changing on them to deal with the Australian climate (we will be building on the Mornington Peninsular in Victoria)?
