Browse Forums Owner Builder Forum 1 Oct 25, 2011 7:38 pm I am a new Owner Builder and about to embark on a major brick veneer extension and other modifications to my house in the St George/Sutherland area. With work commitments I realise the initial foundations/brickwork/framing are going to be difficult for me to dedicate the time to manage/coordinate onsite, therefore I'm looking for a carpenter/builder to undertake this scope of work and more or less get it to lock up. I have the roofer, electrician and plumber on board and have been talking to window suppliers so may look to supply those. Are there any recommendations out there for someone whom might have undertaken a similar scope of work or whom might have a suitably flexible approach? Ultimately I could end up using the same guy for some of the internal fitout, but I'd rather not be tied in to latter works if the working relationship doesn't work out. Any other thoughts/experiences appreciated too Looking to tile the facade pillars rather than rendering. Builder is quoting 2500$ laying cost for upto 10msq. The 2 pillars come to be 16msq. So laying costs are 5000$… 0 7542 Really tight at the top of the stairs- how to get furniture into those rooms? Study books - does anyone really use them these days? Large storage closet would be more functional. 2 6884 I do enjoy the drama:-D In his latest two videos he has started bringing security guards to site, I am waiting for the punch on to begin lol 6 45543 |
