Well, I think I may belong to this thread now!!!
I've JUST signed up for a designer... we are starting from absolute scratch again after having spent the past 10 months getting to signing the final contract with a builder. We had done selections and all- so it is slightly tiring having to start over... but I'm very excited about starting from scratch with the plans and getting a customised plan to suit OUR block
Hopefully the rest of the process (selections etc) should be relatively easy as even though i'll be choosing different colour schemes I already have in my head what i'm after and most plumbing fixtures etc will be the same ranges with few changes. In my head i'm picturing white based concrete floors (not sure the budget will stretch to upstairs but we will see), wood-look tiled bathrooms, i'll find somewhere for the gorgeous marble tiles I had previously selected either inside or out! and possibly a mixture of honed concrete and 'fake' wood decking and/or wood-look tiles alfresco/pool area/balcony. A lot more natural look- the previous plan was to be grey concrete, black sparkly tiles, and everything else was just white! Very modern look but also very monochrome/ industrial.
Very exciting, so i'll enjoy that for now until the headaches of OB being!
