A lot more than I expected Have tried getting a number of other quotes, but it is very difficult to get anyone out. The usual they dont return calls .... Can anyone recommend a platerer to supply and install. We are building in the suburb of PLENTY, VIC Thanks Re: Approximate Plastering Cost in Melbourne 6Apr 17, 2011 8:47 pm B STAR there is probably less than 10K worth of material. You have been over priced!!! Good to know the approx material cost. Yeh I agree way over the top. I thought it was hard to find a bricklayer, plasters seem just as hard. Any recommendations anyone? Re: Approximate Plastering Cost in Melbourne 7May 25, 2011 9:24 pm Hi Rotanon, Have you factored in the 'Location' levy you might be slugged with? Plenty is not known to be a growth area... And contractors do fatten things up a little this way.. PS - I love Plenty, and wish we could live there, we had to settle with a few ks down the road... Plans Done Feb 2010 Permit Done 23 April. Re: Approximate Plastering Cost in Melbourne 8May 26, 2011 8:55 am I can highly recommend Dino (0432 450 766) He did my place with square set throughout. You can take a look at his work at my blog: http://rlay1.blogspot.com/2008/09/plasterboard.html http://rlay1.blogspot.com/2009/05/plastering.html Tell him Rui (Ree) referred you. Re: Approximate Plastering Cost in Melbourne 9May 27, 2011 12:42 pm Ill PM you the details of the guy who did ours (who we also recommended to B STAR above) Custom European Cabinets - Melbourne Kitchen Specialist PM for business details as website currently being updated! Our Crazy Owner Builder Journey! Re: Approximate Plastering Cost in Melbourne 10Jun 23, 2011 8:45 am we have plasterers in ours at the moment. (battens installed yesterday) Our quote was $23400 for 47sq. This includes 9ft celings (12ft celings to entry) 90mm scotia cornice, plaster to porch & alfresco. Pretty reasonable price i thought...... Re: Approximate Plastering Cost in Melbourne 12Jun 27, 2011 2:57 pm plaster needs to be fixed at 450mm minimum. Our truss size was 900mm so the roof had to be battened (although im pretty sure its common practice now these days anyway?) Re: Approximate Plastering Cost in Melbourne 13Jun 24, 2012 8:46 pm hi guys.. I realize this is an old thread, but can you please PM me the plasterer details you have all passed on to each other? I had a quote for my new home (36sq of living), 3m ceilings downstairs, 2.7m ceilings upstairs, $30910 (incl. GST). I'm starting to think that's an over price based on what you're stating above. Re: Approximate Plastering Cost in Melbourne 14Jun 24, 2012 9:18 pm it is probably a little over priced but not by much. Given you have gone 3m celing there is a lot of extra work involved. Also since you are going double it is a lot more work to get the plaster upstairs. Re: Approximate Plastering Cost in Melbourne 15Nov 12, 2012 11:37 pm I have just received a quote to supply and install plaster to 3 townhouses I am building in Melbourne. The total price including GST is $46,000. Is this a reasonable price? Details are below. Living areas are about 18-19 squares each, plus double garage, 2700mm ceilings, 2 storey, Square set finish to areas except garages, CSR plaster board used, Metal battens and Laser finish, WR plasterboard to wet areas. Villaboard can be used as an alternative to WR for an extra $2K. How does this price stack up ?? Re: Approximate Plastering Cost in Melbourne 16Sep 16, 2014 5:32 pm Hi, Sorry to raise an old thread but I am after the same information. I am after a quote to install 377 sq.m of ceiling plaster square set, and 734 sq.m of wall plaster. The ceiling is to be laser levelled and installed on metal battens, as I have some very long open areas and I want them to be very straight. Any ideas on what is a fair price. Re: Approximate Plastering Cost in Melbourne 17Sep 17, 2014 1:12 pm I think you are looking at around $18-20K maybe a little more. When you have calculated the wall areas did you minus the windows?? I still think they need to be calculated. Secondly you sound like you are the type of person that is going to want villa board in the wet areas also. If this is a custom build then I would expect the builder to set out the door frame closer to the wall to avoid the gap between architrave and the wall and or specify… 9 8306 custom probably not. Volume, most defiantly, but spec would vary. If youre doing a knock down, there additional costs associated with that that will eat into your budget… 1 10274 I do enjoy the drama:-D In his latest two videos he has started bringing security guards to site, I am waiting for the punch on to begin lol 6 45544 |
