I cant believe it has been ten weeks! It has actually been a really hard ten weeks as moving into a work in progress with kids is not fun at all! Our downstairs kitchen was delayed for a week due to work not being complete and we had to live in the apartment. It was fun and I amazed myself with the meals I managed to cook in an electric frying pan. Of course my beautiful kitchen is now installed however not without problems!!!! My rangehood, oven and dishwasher all stopped working. The stove worked but it gets really really really hot on outside. Anyway after about four weeks I finallyhave a working dishwasher and on friday the rangehood will be working. The moral here ... avoid italian styling - looks fab but not so cool working!!! We have a driveway now which makes life more pleasant but a shed load full of stuff in the garage so we still are unable to park our car. I am going to wait until the next holidays to sort it out!!!! Curtains installed inour bedroom on Weds which will be a great change from the table cloth. Also waiting for final cabinetry!!!! Toilets ... I hate toilets but I htink I have finally sorted it! Getting two new toilets in our bathroom and the guest bathroom! Mirrors and shower screens are next as are tiles to the laundry drying court. When Docker rob has finished iwth my brickie I hope to have my little wall at the front plastered! It is such an amazing house to live in. We have no airconditioniing and as it has warmed up it has remained amazingly cool inside. In the winter it was so warm with just a little gas fire warming the whole house .... all three storeys. We actually have underfloor heating and never used it! I will get some pics up in the next few days as there are some of the most gorgeous design features that I amsoooooo happy with. My bath is my favorite thing. I actually am in love with it. It is just sooooooooo beautiful. Pics to come! k Re: Schloss am Meer .... ten weeks in! 248Oct 11, 2011 10:52 am Oooh sounds like you have had quite an adventure!! Look forward to seeing pics ... It's a wonderful stuff, thanks to it our frameless shower looks like new after 8 months of use and cleaning it is a breeze! It's a bit pricey, approx $100/bottle, but really saves elbow grease. You've had a bad run there. Good to hear that your getting some things sorted. It seems to take longer to achieve things once your in, but sure and steady wins the race. I know I've had a bit of a break since getting in but need to get things moving. My wife wanted to see your place the other day so we took a drive past. The driveway and front gate/fence looks good as does the decking. Look forward to seeing some updated pics. That is so so great, you must be happy with that. I cant wait to come round and have a look, your decoration ideas have totally whetted my apetite and I must see the lounge suite and the designer kitchen. Hope all is well with you.
