Re: Owner Building Perth Hills - Huge 512m2 89May 30, 2011 2:03 am memphis Purplegirl Do you mind me asking... how much was your solar system all up? I think our total came in just shy of $14k for the lot. Hopefully it will pay for itself in the coming years!. Hi.. May I ask the amount of 14k was after you have surrendered the certificates back to them? I've asked a few companies and a sharp 5kw system is coming around 25k.. Chinese solar systems are about 20k Re: Owner Building Perth Hills - Huge 512m2 90Jun 01, 2011 12:20 pm Not a huge amount has changed Although, we have given the go ahead with the septic system, so hopefully that will happen in the next 2-4 weeks. We also have a collossal pile of wood to burn down before we can commence the foundations of the grannyflat building. The contractor installing the septics will do us the favor of moving all the wood into the middle of the clearing, and we will have a burnoff night in the next few weeks to clear the area! Re: Owner Building Perth Hills - Huge 512m2 94Jul 19, 2011 6:50 pm Things have been dragging along slowly, we had to move our building envelope 3 mtrs with the council as the pegs where in the wrong place when we bought the block, and its taken a lot longer to get rid of the felled wood on site than expected. Earthworks are due to start this week on our septics and sand pads, hopefully we will have the small slab down by early Aug The shed is starting to fill up with all sorts of building materials, we have our double glazed windows/bifolds arriving shortly also Re: Owner Building Perth Hills - Huge 512m2 95Jul 19, 2011 10:14 pm how did you go getting your plans through council. dud they approve the hometheatre with no windows. we wanted minimal windows in ours and were not allowed even small windows, due to the requirement for natural light. we have a central bathroom but that has a skylight. love the shed and generator, we have a generator just like it mind you its not been used now in more than 18months since we had power connected.
