Well done. Every bit from here on in makes it look more and more like a house. You are doing so well. How are Mrs B and the girls all going?

I'm new to this site but am truly loving reading about your OB experience as I too have been considering a PAAL kit home. You have provided such useful info and your 'journey' so far has been really inspiring. I'm looking at building in the S/W (Balingup area) in the very near future.
Would love to hear of any further developments you've made.
Hope all is progressing well for you

Well it's been a very long time since I updated anything on H1 had quite a few things stuff up the most important one was the home computer which decided to die two months ago thats how long it took the insurance company to cough up a new one well up and going now so time for some update's.
Well we have finally finished the main roof with the exception of the roof capping all windows are in half the of the sarking is up the wall and we actually started some cladding the evening, still having no luck with power the meter box is in the two sub boards are installed but still waiting on one piece of cable to go from the green dome to the meter box who thoughrt getting power on could be so difficult and so bloody exspensive.
DW and DD twins are going great putting on weight and sleeping through thanks for asking RF.
Hey Boots good to here other people here in the west looking at PAAL they have been really great through the whole process so far and there prices beat WA hands down for whats included in the kit and if you need any advice please don't hesitate to ask if I can't help I am pretty sure someone on H1 can.
Hi architectbrisbane it would be nice if PAAL could visit our site but when they are on the other side of the counrty it kinda makes it a bit hard but there phone back up service has been great as we have not used any tradesmen, we have done it all ourselves and when we ring they always give us an answer straight away.
And now for some pics,
All windows are in but no door frames or doors yet.
The cladding begins lots of cutting to be done.
The sub board in the shed.

Fabbo. you are a champ for all you are doing. You are definitely doing it tougher than us by doing the work yourselves.
Glad to here DW and twins doing well, hope other DD is enjoying the bubs too. We are having another (will make 6 altogether) and 16yo DD is NOT impressed.
Keep up the great work Heath.

Now the house is starting to look like something that resembles a house with half the cladding up it's taken my dad about eight days to get this far alone while I was away working but he has now taken a well deserved break and has gone to Singapore for ten days so it is up my brother and I to do some cladding, still no power on the property still waiting on Western Power to come and do the final connection.
Well here are some pics of progress so far.

Just a quick update so power is finally on solar power up ontop of shed roof 90% of outside cladding is complete 9 tonne of gyprock has been delivered with all the trimmings etc and put in side the house all insulation has been delivered so the next step is to put up the 130sqm of verandah whitch is a equivalant to a small house which sould be interesting I do have some pics witch I will post when I get home in about a week.
Hi Boots thanks for the encouragment.

Well it's been a while since I last updated so I thought I should share the progress so far we have started the verandah floor with about ninety percent done we found we where still missing a few pieces of the floor to complete it totally which we have ordered from Statco which is easyer than going back to the supplier we also found we had put two concrete footings in the wrong spot so we will have to rectify that to before the verandah floor can be finished and at the moment we are finishing the last of the main roof covering our alfresco deck which has taken three days so far so hopefully it will be done by Thursday with just my father and me would have been a lot quicker with three of us but able bodies are a bit short ATM I will update with some photo's hopefully Friday till then.

I just thought I'd join this discussion as we are also building a modified Camden. We're at lockup stage now and it's been a huge learning curve for my husband and myself. It's good to know that there are others in our same boat - we are building in a new estate where project homes rule and we are obviously the odd ones out.....though our personal opinion is that we have the best looking house there
Anyway, good luck with your project.

Lyndall do you have a thread? Would love to see your plans and follow your build.
Just realised that was your first post so of course you don't. You should start one so we can follow along.
