Re: Framing nail gun. 2Apr 08, 2010 8:54 am hey mate... i bought a 3 pack from bunnings... it had a framing gun, a brad nailer and a stapler. seems to have done the job so far, and ive done a fair amount with it... from memory it was about $199 for the pack. They cost a little more but you can get them for about 350 to 400 each on ebay. When you are climbing around trusses and doing eave sheet etc, the beauty of the cordless is it is cordless, and gets in those hard to get to places. I also used a senco air gun and that thing was the ducks guts, if you are after repetition they go as fast as you can nail, although the paslode can sometimes not keep up with really fast nailing. That said for overall applications get the paslodes Re: Framing nail gun. 10Apr 14, 2010 7:44 pm we use pasload gas guns as well but they are pricey -600 plus new we also use a trade tools brand coil nailer as it was cheaper and still fired ballistic tips into light steel (Bonus). They are modeled on the duo-fast gun which are brilliant I love my hitachi Air guns as they are extremely light, and i can throw frames around all day with them and they punch too. If you want a good cheap brand, then you cant go past the trade tools brand. they are a direct ripoff of the better guns, and work quite well. Alot of tradies use them and they last. Anything below this is really just "Hooker" gear- Will do the job to a point but will still leave you frustrated.
