Browse Forums Owner Builder Forum 1 Feb 27, 2010 6:14 pm Has anyone had any experience with Flat Pack Kit Homes ? (I have posted the same thread about ASK Kit homes, hope this does not bother anyone!) I am a first time home owner / builder and am hoping to get a home technically built by a builder rather than owner built; A. because the banks don't like OBs B. there is no B! I am a project manager by profession and a DIY maniac so i'd love to OB it but I don't have a huge deposit so can't get finance. I know a couple of builders so hope to get one to build to lock-up and let me & family (and friends) help a lot with labour and completion. After LOTS of browsing various kit home companies, I have found a couple of designs that I like at ASK. Hence the question. I have a budget (not including land) for the construction of about $120,000 complete, including all basic necessities like bathroom, kitchen, laundry, built-ins and connection of all services. Any advice also welcome!!
