Browse Forums Owner Builder Forum 1 Jan 20, 2010 2:44 pm We are using Hebel PowerFloor for the upper floor and originally wanted to use the same in wet areas. However, we recently found out that this requires the joist to either be set down or reduced to allow for recommended 50mm wet area set down or you can fully waterproof area with membrane. It seems like our steel frame supplier hasnt set down the joists and we are thinking of using Compressed Sheet in wet areas. Appearently it provides an automatic set down due to thickness difference compared to PowerFloor... Has anyone used compressed sheet and what was your experience? Is it the way to go? Use it for small exterior balcony, water proofed with a couple of coats then tiled over the top. No hassles since then. Most of the applications have been exterior balconies i might add. No it can not be heavier than hebel powerfloor which is 56 kg per sqm. Its thickness is only 15mm where as hebel powerfloor is 75 mm almost as thick as a 76mm brick or 3 inches.
