Browse Forums Owner Builder Forum 1 Sep 08, 2009 8:59 pm Hi there, we want to use LINEA (Hardy Product) - we've seen it on a new home in our suburb & loved the look. We are doing a knockdown/rebuild (leaving 3 bedrooms only) and the whole Victorian house was clad in that PVC stuff which I hated but it was already there when we bought it years ago & it sort of looked ok! Now we are looking at redoing the whole house in LINEA - has anyone used this before and what are your thoughts about this product??? regards Jazzie Life is like a lolly, suck it and see Re: LINEA - has anyone used this type of cladding? 2Sep 14, 2009 1:19 am Hi, I am actually in the process of installing these boards for the retreat section of my ob house its only 2 walls 3x3m and is taking us a while to do. the boards cost about $20 each and you need about 8 boards to gain 1 meter height they come in 150 & 180cm (I think they are 3.6m long) then you need external corner trims at about $50 eac, internal cnr trims , end trims and windows trims & a pvc starter strip,, it all adds up. A bit of effort to install and mine are looking ok hopefully will be magic when painted as I have seen some that look pretty good. Thanks Chocoholic - we ended up going with Cemintel - another fantastic product & more than happy I've been trying to get some photos up of the work going on at our place but having some problems ie how to do it Jazzie Life is like a lolly, suck it and see Re: LINEA - has anyone used this type of cladding? 6Dec 28, 2009 1:33 pm The Linea board is a great product. I have used in many times. It gives nice straight lines and is reasonably easy to work with, as it is a Fibro cement product it needs to be handled carefully to avoid chipping and splitting and cutting needs to be done with a diamond blade. Once installed though it is a hard wearing product that need little maintenance.
