It has been a fun filled week !
I started phoning the company doing out building approval last friday to see how it was going, every day they said it would be ready the next day. Yesterday I went in to the office to see just what was going on and was told it was not ready as we had not supplied the documents they required. They had never told me they needed more information. I was displeased and mentioned that at no time during the 5 phone calls that had assured me everything was ok had anyone mentioned this.
I was told the person responsible was out of the office and could I wait for an hour for him to return so Margo and I went to get some lunch.
2 hours later no call so we went home to wait there, No call that day no call the next morning.
I called to find out what had happened and was told that he was in all that afternoon but he was a bit busy so had not called us.
By now I was somewhat unhappy at their service, the receptionist suggested she could ask him to call us when she saw him next.
My reply was "No just give me the phone number of the owner of the company"
After a short discussion with the company's owner I think we have the problems sorted, he is personally walking the paperwork through council for us on monday
I am amazed at how people think they can just tell ****** and not follow simple business procedures like calling customers back when they say they will.
I imagine there will be some in house discussions about customer service in the near future, the boss did not sound real happy when I told him what was going on in his office.
