The stuff i needed was: site survey and setout plans electrical certificate (incl smoke detectors) data cabling certificate plumbing inspections certificate glazing truss (we didnt have any trusses) waterproofing insulation termite protection i think thats about it... Things the inspector looked for were hand rails for anything over 1m off the ground, splash backs, termite stickers etc. she took a lot of photos and measurements. I imagine you still need most of those certificates and for everything to be safe. But I wonder if you need, say, all your bathrooms completed and so on. Initially the girl on the phone said it has to be built to spec of the plan but when I questioned here about floor coverings and all bathrooms being completed, I got put through to the building developments manager HE um'd and ah'd his way to saying that things like * not ALL bathrooms need to be completed, but they would need come back and inspect the waterproofing * Floor coverings are not a must * Entertainment area's (our is sort of integrated into the design of the house) is not a must other than that, it all needs to be completed. and of course, not checklist is available!! Just wondering if you got your OC ? we are in NSW and are also having a few issues getting ours.
