I've been searching everywhere on the net for a checklist of items that need to be done so that we can get a CFO. Does anyone know of such a checklist????
Cheers!

Who would have thought it would take over 5 weeks to get decent looking shower screens made Re: Is there a Checklist for Certificate For Occupancy???? 16Jan 21, 2010 7:55 am Also if you are in NSW then all the requirements of basix will need to be met before occupancy is granted. Andy Re: Is there a Checklist for Certificate For Occupancy???? 17Jan 22, 2010 1:55 am interesting thread we have been told by our surveyor we dont need plumbing or electrical we just need it to be verment proof and weather tight so basically walls roof floor power isnt required as people can live without it plumbing isnt required as technically you can use a portaloo one thing he did say was it had to meet all the 5 star ratings i know of others requiring heaps more but as were not at that stage yet i guess we will find out but i know one thing there is definately no list it seems like its up to your inspector and what he/she expects so id go have a chat with them some are very lenient (OURS) others not so much (TONYS) after all the inspector your using is the one whos going to issue you with the permit so get very friendly with them and ask gl stay safe happy building Re: Is there a Checklist for Certificate For Occupancy???? 18Jan 22, 2010 6:29 am Quote: we have been told by our surveyor we dont need plumbing or electrical ??? It's not about living with water and power, it's more about ensuring the house is compliant with all the relevant codes and standards. I guess you surveyor doesn't mind if your services are installed by un-licenced tradesmen ! I guess you surveyor doesn't mind if your services are installed by un-licenced tradesmen ! oh no all plumbing and electrical must be done by liscenced guys but not required for an occupancy certificate only when we want our completion certificate do we have to have electrical and plumbing done.two totally different certificates so we can still live there but will not be allowed to sell the house without the completion certificate. also u dont legally have to have power and water but if you do decide to have them only then do they have to be done by liscenced tradies stay safe happy building Re: Is there a Checklist for Certificate For Occupancy???? 20Jan 24, 2011 7:23 pm Just bumping this up as we are getting to the stage where we would LOVE to move in, sooner rather than later. I found this and it seems to be as close as you will get to a list - it is for Tassie - but I suspect it is relevant to most jurisdictions: http://www.meander.tas.gov.au/webdata/r ... FICATE.pdf We are in NSW and require 2 positive covenants to be placed on the property didnt really underdtand this but apparently it will take a few months, and have just been… 2 7461 0 5681 I don’t think so as the floor area over 300 square meters then it is class 3…. 12 17934 |
