We are holding off on actually purchasing land cos don't want to buy if we can't afford to build and I have spent hours on the net trying to get some idea but resulted in me becoming completely confused. I understand that without a home site it is hard to estimate the building cost. We are looking at house plans of 4 bed, kitchen, dinning, lounge, rumpus, laundry, 2 bath and septic, water tanks and possiably solar panels. Has any one built similar? How much was the total cost? At this stage of estimating you cannot be any more accurate than to say it will cost roughly $1000 - $1500 per square metre for a fairly standard house. Have you or someone you know have used it and would recommend over other subfloor options?… 2 7722 I’m not a structural engineer but I’m free. you still need an engineer for the plans.
