We are considering for which option to go for our driveway and alfresco/backyard: paving, slab or exposed aggregate concrete. I really like the exposed aggregate concrete but I was just told that it is about $100m2. It is a bit too expensive... How much do you think normal paving would cost? Are there any other options? I like it because our driveaway is on the North side and this stuff doesn't absorb heat in summer and (to me at least) the grass, besides being greener on the other side of the fence , is easier on the eye than even the nicest concrete.
