Browse Forums Owner Builder Forum 1 May 15, 2009 12:52 pm Not really an owner / builder question, but the folks in here will probably know better than most Basically OH and I are putting up a shed (colorbond) to "live" in and store our furniture whilst our house is built. We are going to have insulation put in the roof. The shed guy suggested we wall off the area we are going to live in and also insulate the walls in that part. In an effort to save some money, I was wondering how hard it would be to insulate the walls ourselves (I think they use Aircell) and also knock up some temporary walls to divide the shed into living and storage?? I'm loathe to spend money on a wall I might want to knock down later on when the shed is used by alpacas and horses (hopefully) and quad bikes!! Any thoughts or ideas appreciated Re: Internal walls 2May 16, 2009 8:34 am Really easy - you're only issue is where the wall meets the shed wall. And duct tape would suffice. Go to Bowens (Vic) or any Bunnings for timber and batts. I would use 3mm MDF sheeting to cover the wall. Yeh ideally that would have been good, but have progressed too far now. Hoping some well placed internal walls fixed up into the battens will provide some… 2 5403 Thank you alexp79 and gommeqld for your advice, that's very helpful, thanks 3 7934 3 10199 |
