The quotes I've received range from $250 per inspection to $500 per inspection. Just wondering, how much did you pay for yours? And how many inspections did you have? Re: progressive construction inspections - how much did you pay? 2May 09, 2009 6:09 pm as far as i know the inspections are just before you lay foundations another for the frame then the final for occupancy certificate we paid council from memory around 500-600 i think that includes all inspections by their building inspector. stay safe happy building Re: progressive construction inspections - how much did you pay? 3May 23, 2009 5:32 pm Just found a building inspector who will do 3 progressive inspections for $300 each (frame, plastering and final one). YAY! Cheapest one by far, and he doesn't charge extra for two storey houses The three inspections which the council will carry out are: After the footings have been constructed – prior to concrete being poured After the wall and roof frames have been constructed – prior to the linings being fixed After the completion of building work. Re: progressive construction inspections - how much did you pay? 6May 24, 2009 12:49 pm The cheaper way is to ask your structural engineer to do that. My structural engineer willing to do inspection for small amount of fess by cash. If the small thinggy he even charge for free. He mentioned that he is the structural designer and he want to make sure i build a good house and don't damage his reputation. I recommended you find someone (Structural engineer) small. not a big company. My engineer is work at home and he is very friendly and i can ask him any question at anytime.
