This error originally meant there was approximately 400m2 of no-mans land between our "official' land and the river. This was problematic (which we realised before purchase) as this "no-mans" land was someones. Either it was officially ours, or officially river (just dry most times) or it was officially "crown" lands which is in our area is under native title claim. We'd done our homework and were convinced it was without doubt our land, so we had to progress down the path of proving it. We were successful, but spent about $10k on surveyors costs....which effectively was only $25/m2 which was well worth it for riverfront land on the Gold Coast Moral of the story......surveyors are worth it.
