It will depend if you have a difficulty block to build on & if you have certain design features you want in your home. Facts are that project builders have great buying power, their contractors work on a lower fixed rate. So if you have a flat block of land, make no changes to their plan it will be the cheapest way to build your house. Where they make their real money is on extras.
