Its specifically required where you are building on or within 1 meter of a boundary to an adjoining property. The concept is that if your next door neighbours property goes on fire, this fire retatrdant blanket protects your property. Your roof lining alone wont stop a fire, but introducing this fire blanket will. Pat.
