Browse Forums Owner Builder Forum 1 Jan 12, 2009 11:52 pm Hi all...my first post here. My fiance and I are building towards the middle of '09 in the great S/west of Vic. While owner building (I am a limited RBP and Bricklayer which makes some paperwork alot easier)...I am at a loss as to where to begin on landscaping. Let's just say I look at plants and they start wilting which is why I'm looking for some direction with this. My fiance is a fairly good gardener (thank christ for that) but would still love any ideas. We are building a home 28sq living, 51sq all up with oversize garage, outdoor ent and verandah! The block is very flat (only 100mm drop in the 35m length), with good soil (class M). Just a bit over 2 acres, 54m wide x 202m deep, so we'll have about 2200sqm backyard and 1800sqm front (less house of course). Any help would be appreciated. Re: How to design landscaping...any good websites about? 2Jan 13, 2009 9:28 pm Hi Charlie, I am at a loss to advise you on landscaping and it sounds like you have quite a canvas to work with - not sure about the other ob's, but I recommend you re post this query in the landscaping & design section of the forum as you may get a few green thumbs in there to help you out!

Re: How to design landscaping...any good websites about? 5Jan 28, 2009 1:56 am hi if your in country vic my best advice is to go to your local nursery as plants that grow in the city areas will never survive in the bush your local nursery will have stock that has climatised to the area your building in so survival should be better. i kill weeds so need all the help i can get lol Hmmm, I have checked your past posts and it seems that you are in NSW, not WA as I had thought. It pays to show your State in your avatar. Retaining wall regulations… 5 7866 Hi, you've probably already resolved this, however, Commbank will probably pay the funds to you after you send evidence the work is done regardless the change in the quotes. 1 35332 Ideally you would engage a landscaper to give you some insight what they may need in the space to make your vision come to life… 1 13646 |
