Browse Forums Owner Builder Forum 1 Jan 06, 2009 8:26 pm I'm looking at building a Timber Framed shed... Would anyone have any plans that I could use to do some estimates, prior to engaging a draftsman? Anything around 9m wide, 6m deep would be perfect....
Obviosuly steel is quicker, but, I'm wanting to make the construction of the shed, similar to the house we plan to build... We plan to used Weathertex cladding, hence the timber frame... So if anyone can help out, please let me know... Electrical Engineer... Don't hold that against me... And keen owner builder... Mainly the building part!! Re: Has Anyone got Timber framed Shed Plans? 2Apr 13, 2009 11:33 pm Hi Chuth77, i saw a while ago u were looking for plans of a timber framed shed, i thought i had one in a building book i had, & i've just found it - the book is entitled "The Australian Carpenter" by C Lloyd and sheet 23 on page 27 "building a garage" has the plans & construction methods for a 16ft X 10ft timber framed, gable roof garage. would'nt matter too much about the size, cos it gives u the basics of cable roof garage construction u could apply to ur size. its an old book, all in ft & inches but very good sound construction. if u can't get it thru libruary, or still want it, I could photo copy the relevent pages & post to u. i can't scan on this computer - our bush location has rediculously low line speeds & battles with written posts. let me know if u think it would help. cheers tony.
