Browse Forums Owner Builder Forum 1 Jan 09, 2025 8:23 am I am writing to get some advice on the fence guidelines. My neighbour has constructed a DIY retaining wall that is unevenly aligned, with some sections on the boundary and others next to the boundary line (25mm). They have also placed sharp brackets facing my land, posing a safety risk for the children. The sharp brackets are encroaching into my land with 100mm, These brackets extend 100mm into my land, which creates a hazardous situation for the kids. Despite multiple requests to address this issue, the neighboyr is being rude and using harsh words with us. We have moved into our new home, and managing without a fence is challenging, especially with young children. We are seeking clarification on where the fence should be installed. Installing the fence along the boundary is challenging due to the uneven retaining wall. Should the fence be positioned on the retaining wall or within my property? Could someone please let me know who can help to locate where the fence needs to be installed? Do it. It dosnt cost much and just makes life easy.
