My granny flat build journey

Any advice on how to ensure the kit home granny flat that im thinking of buying will get council approval. The kit home companys wont release plans without a deposit and council won't give approval to build without
plans...! If there is anyone out there that has navigated the process of obtaining Armadale (WA) councils approval to build an ancillary dwelling in an BAL rating of FZ , it would be very much appreciated.

Hey mate, how's it going with building your granny flat? Did you manage to sort out the BAL FZ issue?

I'm going through some interesting stuff with my GF project and thought we could bounce ideas off each other. Cheers

The housing market is at an all time struggle for Gen Z and above. My business involves consultation and planning in conjunction with a long standing builder who can build a 1 bedroom or 2 bedroom small home in a backyard or on residential land that cuts a big cost off buying. For example a 1 bedroom unit in Victoria suburbs will start at around $300,000. A finished product from us will cost around $190,000 - $200,000. Our aim is to assist these generations to cut the cost of living expenses so they can either save or pay less rental while struggling in today’s economy.
