Browse Forums Owner Builder Forum 1 Nov 01, 2008 6:38 pm Hi all,
I am trying to get started on my first owner builder project. I need to raise the roof about 30 cms and lower the pitch a little so I can place a higher flat ceiling. In doing so I need to redo the framing. Any ideas on how to get started? Should I get a carpenter in and see if I can help him with the job to keep costs down? If I get prefabricated framing would this help? Any ideas welcome. many thanks, hats (Sydney area) Re: framing and roofing 2Nov 01, 2008 10:06 pm I am not sure what how you can get pre-fab framing for an alteration. There shouldn't be any major dramas with just liasing with a carpenter. It all depends on what exactly it entails - any photos of existing?
