I purchased a vacant block just over 1100sqm. There are no boundary pegs, so I contacted a surveyor and he will be sending a quote through this coming week. I forgot to ask him to quote for some sort of feature map too so I'll have to call him tomorrow. Is a feature map good enough to start planning the build or do I need more? I'm trying to keep the price as low as possible.

Edit: the block is on a slight slope, the engineer who did the soil assessment guessed it was roughly 7 degrees.

You need a contour plan for your design and engineering. Engage in a draftsman/architect first. They will guide you on what you need to do. You risk soil test being done in the wrong location etc. otherwise The local Council will have rules in regards living in a caravan on a vacant block.
