Hi guys, quick question about Owner Builder in Victoria. When you apply for a building permit do you list yourself as the registered builder, or do you need to engage a register builder and list them on the building permit form too?

To put it in simple answer. No you are the builder and you are going to take all the responsibility of a builder if you are going Owner Builder path.

As the owner builder you can subcontract work to a builder who can take you part or all of the way. Ultimately all permits and responsibility are yours.
